How can I have shades to data field background color?

In my application I have placed a bmp on the form.
It has a faded effect (The shade gets lighter at bottom).
Now due to some reason I have to remove that Bmp. But
still I do not want the UI to look different.So I thought
of placing a data field there. But the problem is , the
data field background color is always uniform.

So My question is how Can I have that faded effect in the
Data field Bck. color.
