Hi,
I am very new to PIX. I am willing to do most things for myself so if I can get some direction or theory on this, I will try to figure out the rest.

I have a remote user using the Cisco VPN software client to connect to my Cisco 506E Box which sits in our office. That person can access what he needs to in our office (like a particular unix server, email, etc) but nothing more.

I am on a computer in my office and I want to telnet to, or ping this person. What kind of settings do I need to add to my PIX to allow this?

You will need a route map for the remote user to connect to the whole network. I don't know about pinging the remote user when he is connecting in via the vpc client. That is a site-to-site VPN setup, not remote access.

I have the same problem, and in the vpn-client I allowed local lan access but doesn't do anything, the moment it connects to the PIX the option is disables.

Any ideeas?
