Hi!
I have a subreport in a Detail B section. That subreport has no report header or footer. It has has a GH1 and GF1, and a suppressed Details section. I am only printing out the GH1 and GF1 to show earliest and latest values for the groups. I want the value in GH1 to print next to the value in GF1 so that the report looks like:
Description value1 value 2

However, when I put on "underlay following sections" in GH1 and GF1 and Details, it looks like this when I run it:
Description value1
value2

How can I get the GF1 to print on the same line as the GH1? I think that suppressed Detail line is messing me up somehow. Any ideas or am I trying to accomplish the impossible?

Thanks for your help!

Have you tried putting the GH1 value in GF2 and suppressing GH1?

How about doing the reverse and displaying the group header value in the group footer? You could create a running total by using the running total editor, and selecting {table.value}, sum, evaluate based on a formula:

{table.date} = minimum({table.date},{table.groupfield})

Reset on change of group.

This assumes that you have the earliest value in the header--if it is instead the latest, use maximum instead of minimum. Display this running total in the subreport group footer.
