I need to include only the image part of a .pdf in my ID document and not the registration/printer's marks that I'd use if I were a printer printer (my newsletter will be published as a .pdf). I've looked everywhere and have learned how to INCLUDE printer's/registration marks, but I can find NO information on how to get rid of the marks.

I have looked in Acrobat, Photoshop, and InDesign help and I've tried everything I can think of. I'm haunted by the notion that this task will turn out to be incredibly simple . . . if you know how to do it!

Thanks,

Simply draw a picture box in InDesign go to file>place
select the PDF you want to place.

once the PDF is in, simply mave it to where you want it.

Now, with the black arrow tool select the image again so there is a blue box selected, then click and drag the Box nodes so there crop out the rego marks.

If you don't understand me (and most people don't) reply to this and I'll put some Screen shot up, so you can see what I'm on about.

Thanks Marcus.

I do understand, and what you've said makes perfect sense--and it works. Actually, I was able to do what you describe by using the black arrow and selecting the whole thing--registration marks and all--then just pushing the corners of the blue box up/in to the corners of only what I want to display.

Thanks ever so much,
