How can i generate serial nos in reports 1

I know how to print serial nos in a tabular report as follows:

S# Name Salary
------------------------------
1 Smith 500
2 Jones 900
3 Mark 200
4 Blake 400
5 Clark 200

my question is how can I print serial nos in a master detail report as follows:

S# Dept# Dname
---------------------------
1 20 Accounting

S# Emp Salary
----------------------
1 Jones 600
2 Blake 800
3 Jones 700

2 20 Sales
S# Emp Salary
----------------------
1 King 1000
2 Smith 300
3 Mark 700

and so on, kindly help me in this regard asap

For details, you may use a summary column in the Employee group that would count Employees and reset at Department group. For Departments, the summary column should be in the Department group and reset at Report.
