Hi,

I live in the UK and I want to watch 'Heroes' online on the NBC website. However, when I select an episode the player tells me that it can't connect because 'the clip isn't available in my area'. I'm guessing that IE is seeing my browser settings and disconnecting me because I'm in the UK.

Is there any way that I can 'fool' the NBC website? Another browser, or a hack, or something?

No, the server can not find out anything relevant about your location from the informations sent by your browser. Yes, you are disconnected because you are from UK, but this is deduced from your IP address.

To be allowed to watch that movie, you have to connect from an IP address accepted by the server. Try to use a public anonymous proxy from the same country where NBC is. But if they have at least minimum intelligence, they already excluded the widely used proxies too.

Feherke.
