I have a problem with a network of computers that display the #Name? error message in all of the Forms / Reports date fuction fields. Also, the database is unable to process any date functions such as (SELECT expire_date FROM credential_table;). The front-end is located on the individual (3) workstations and the back-end is in a shared-folder on an NT network. Ironically, the date functions (Insert Date/Time )work fine on a form outside of the database application however, it displays #Name? on the same workstations when using the database I created. I have tested this application on 3 different desktops ( 2 ME, 1 NT ) outside of the network environment and the date functions in the database works fine. I have repaired the MS Office suite on the problem workstations but it had no effect. What can I do to rectify this problem on the NT network? Is there an option or properties setting that will enable date functions to work or should I complete uninstall and re-install Office? Please help. Thanks in advanced.

Hi Paul,

i have had this as well, i developed an application on an NT box, and it had this problem on 9x box's you need to check out the references that access uses. edit a form on one of the user's machines.

goto the VBA code and from tools|reference menu check what reference's are being used for that machine. this is a problem if the machine you develop on has other development software on it.

check out this thread thread181-23042

you need to look for a reference that indicates "missing" simply click o the box beside it and all should work again as bill intended (not sure if that is a good thing or not,..)

Thanks Robertd. I will check my references. I did switch them around on my dev workstation. Possibly they need to be added and arranged on the network nodes.
