how can I find out what email program is the linux is using

I am in charge of emails for various companies and I was wondering what is the easy steps to find out which program they are using for email on their Linux box

No I am not

cyrus I use script with out of offices and blackberry resetting passwords

qmail I use to create mailboxes with the cm command

saslpasswd to change the password

I just want to be able to find out which email program they are using.

I use the locate to find the users and sometime I see
cyrus directory and it's empty and it's confusing because the old tech didn't delete the old directories
