Is there any way to Export and Import a Table or the records in the table for backup purposes or new release versions of a database and be able to import the old information?

I have been trying to do this with Macros, and I cannot figure out how to export the whole table or the information in it, then import it back in to another Database?

Any Ideas?

At work I'm on a LAN... I use the Send Object to send my co-workers copies of my Tables in Excel format for their work in excel. When I want to work at home I send myself copies of my tables over the internet to same way.

Split the database system from the tables and then use the latter as linked tables. That way you can backup your tables or simply load an updated system which will link to the split off tables..

You will need the linked table manager add-in..

Splitting the Db is not an option since this will be a distributed program . . .

Can you import excel documents back into a DB using code?

like export the data to excel then import it back in ?

If so, how? If it is Macros I need to use I can do that as well . . .

Thanks for the help . . .

Hi, Chance!
Create the new DB. Then import all tables from your existing DB. Now you have DB for back up of your data.
Create links to this new DB. Write function for deleting of all data from all tables and for inserting of data into these tables after deleting. Follow to sequence these actions (I mean relationships requirements for data updates sequence).

I hope you understood me.
