How can I execute Excel & Word from a Fujitsu NetCobol program

Hello,

Does Excel haved the option of accepting data as a parameters into it from another program or a text file?
My problem is I am doing a project using Fujitsu NeCtobol and I need to open an Excel file, modify some cells
also be able to open Word and pass parameters to it to fill in some fields.

Can you help or point me to someone who can help
