I want to launch a report from a developped application (in SQL*Windows by Centura) with parameters.
The value of the parameters will be passed by the application (no external action).
Is there a command line to execute a report so that the User won't have to enter anything?

Plong: This depends on how you wish to invoke the report. Please let us know how you're intending to execute the report and then we can advise on way forward David C. Monks

I'm quite new with Crystal Reports, so I don't have any preference to invoke the report (and I'm French, so excuse my poor English!)
I figured the user would just have to choose a report in a list, and the application would invoke the report with parameters of its own (login & Password to connect to the database, year of processing, Id of the items to be displayed...)
So, the user wouldn't have to type anything.
I just download the patch that enables to make an .EXE from Version 8, but I don't have any clue on how to pass parameters.
Is there a (simple :) way you could recommend me?
Thank you

I'm having a simular problem. I'm trying to link a Crystal Reports 8 report from an Access 2000 form. I made a command button in the Access 2000 form that links to the crystal reports program and to the file like this:

C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\crw32.exe C:\files\file.rp
But it starts up Crystal Reports 8 it states access denied.

I can like the command button to just
C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\crw32.exe
and that works fine but I want the command button to open a particular
report.

If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Wes
