I am a new user of Micrfosoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services and I have a question.

If I have unchecked headers and footers for group 3 and I want I later decide that I want to see headers, how do I edit the group? The only way I know to edit a group is to click on it in the layout view. Is there another way to get into Edit Group?

There is a tab named "Groups" on the Table Properties dialog box that will allow you to edit individual groups. This will allow you to restore the header and footer.

To get the Table Properties dialog, right-click that little square in the top left corner when the table is selected in layout mode.

Thank you, Sheco. But I can't seem to get to the Table Properties dialog box. When I "right click that little square in the top left corner when the table is selected in layout mode," the drop down menu gives me these choices:

* Report Parameters
* Page Header
* Page Footers
* Properties

Clicking Properties, takes me to a Report Properties dialog box, not a Table Properties dialog box. And I don't see the Group tab.

Where am I going wrong?

Let me back up for a second... I was assuming that you're group is inside a Table... is that correct?

It sounds like you right-clicked the little box in the top left corner of the report... I was trying to describe the little box in the top left corner of the Table ... this is hard to describe because of the way the table is highlighted depending on how many clicks it has... the little box to be right-clicked is the one in the top left corner when the table itself has clicks that make it look like a spreadsheet.. not when it has clicks to enable you to move it around.

Sheesh there has got to be a better way to describe it!

Sheco,

Well, I'll be darn. I found it--at the top of the column that shows 1, 2, 4 (where the numbers are the group headers or footers). You described it well. I just misunderstood the first time. You have solved my problem. Thanks a million!
