First of all, 60 decibels is not a lot of noise. It's about the level of a normal conversation, but the noise the V100 will be making is white noise, which blends in with the ambient noise of the room better. That just means that you will tune it out a lot easier. It's not like spoken words that will distract you because your ears will pick them up and try to understand them. White noise is devoid of "information", so your brain ignores it a lot easier.
The next thing is location. Where you place it can make a huge difference in the perceived noise. If you can place it behind a couch or chair, or behind a small carpeted partition, a lot of the noise will be caught. Remember that sound is for the most part just vibrations traveling through air (or some other medium). Anything you can do to redirect or catch it will lessen the perceived sound levels. Carpeting, upholstery, heavy drapes, foam, all kinds of things can absorb the sound it will be making.
Finally, if you do decide to put it in some kind of enclosure, make sure it has plenty of ventilation and cooling, otherwise the life of the V100 will be shortened and you could have all kinds of weird problems with it.
