hi,
i have only a tape,in it full database datafiles, archive logs, spfile and controlfile.I take this backup from NodeA,and now i want to make the same database on NodeA from this backup on NodeB.how can i do that?
Note:eek:n NodeB only Oracle Software is installed. There is no any database there.

Thanks in advance.

As long as your file structure is exactly the same (or you can make it so), just copy the files on the tape to wherever they should go on the new box (with reference to the old one). You'll also need an init<SID>.ora file etc, but copying these should be fairly straightforward.

It's all in the rman manual, check it out!
