How can I display Arabic,Chinese or Thai characters In cobol

Hi everybody.
I am a trainee Prog, can anyone out there tell me can cobol programming language display arabic,chinese or Thai Characters?. If it can be done, how do I go about it.
If not is there any subsitute or tools I can use? Thanking you all in advanre.
