how can I disconnect from Internet if someone calles

hi,
I like to drop my intenet connection if someone calls. is there way it can be done or it depends on the modem. I'm using XP Pro.

Depends on the modem. If you are dialing *70 or something like that (to disable call waiting), then take that out and try that. Otherwise, it depends on the quality of the modem. Most cheaper modems will drop the line when noise interferes, good modems hang on for a bit.
