you can also go to start-->settings-->control panel-->network. in here you should be able to see a drop menu called "primary network logon". change it to "windows logon". then you will have to reboot in order for the changes to take affect. then when you come back into windows, you should be at the desktop without the network logon screen!!!!
Another alternative is to use the Auto-logon feature that is an option in TweakUI. This doesn't eliminate the logon, but does it automatically for you. If you don't see TweakUI in your control panel, you can install it from your Windows CD (think it's in the PowerToys folder on the CD).
