How can I create Dinamic Lines to follow a path????

Hi there:

I need to know how to create dinamic lines that follow a path but not only move along this path, well let´s say that I wanna draw a Rectangle but my line will get inside the active area from the top and then the line will come down and turn left then up then right then down and viola!!! we have a closed rectangle, does anybody out there knows how????

What's dynamic about that? Looks like a simple animation to me! Draw it, or unmask an already drawned rectangle!

But thas not completely what I want, I want to be able to make a dot morph to a line but that line extend as if you were painting it....
