How can I create a query which can update automatically

How can I create a query which can update automatically (say every morning 9.00am) or when the database has been updated. Also how can I select the latest date range in a query and it can update according to the system date. e.g. I want to create a query which will record all the year-to-date data. the query will update will according to the system date so I don't need to enter the parameter every time. Please help.
