I would like to be able to have callers dial 0, 2, or 3 while in a users mailbox.

I would like to have 0 set to go back to the main auto attendant.

I see the option for DTMF breakout under the voice mail tab of the user.

Under Reception/Breakout (Dtmf *0/0) - should this field be populated with a short code?

If so, what is the proper short code to create?

This is an IPO500 with embedded voice mail.

Embedded voicemail uses *0, *2, and *3. DTMF breakout is the field to populate. You can put the extension or the group number in that field. No need for a separate short code.

Thank you very much.

So I how would I have 0 go to the AA?

Will I need to create a group that forwards to the AA? Then place this group number in the DTMF0 field?

If you want it to 0-out to the AA you need to create a short code that goes to the AA and then use that short code in the DTMF breakout field.

Thanks,

So I can do the following:

Shortcode
code: 100 (or is it *100)?
feature: Voicemail Collect
Telephone Number: "AADay" (name of AA)
Line Group ID: 0 (line group)

Then put 100 in the DTMF field for 0.

Is that correct?

No. For embedded your sc would look like:

SC: *100 or 100 (doesn't matter as long as there isn't a conflict in the system)
Feature: Auto Attendant
Telephone Number: AA:AADay
Line group: 0

You can test it by just dialing *100 or 100 to verify it is covering to the attendant as it should.

Telephone Number: AA:AADay must be Telephone Number: "AA:AADay

Yep, thats what I figured intrigrant. Thank you for clarifying.

You know with the latest R9.0.400.965 it doesn't require the quotes anymore. I have multiple systems set-up as above, but I do know earlier releases did require the quotes.
