I would like to create contact groups using the email history reference field. Can anyone help me please?

Hi

1. Select Lookup | Filters
2. Click on the Groups Tab
3. Right-Click and select New
4. Enter a name of the group
5. Click OK
6. The Group Building Wizard will appear
7. Select Completed History Activities, Click Next
8. Select the user who sent the email shot
9. Select Messages under Activity Type
10. Select the date of the email merge in both the From and To dates
11. Leave the Activity and Result codes blank if you did not specify them
12. Click Next
13. Choose a Sort Field or leave blank
14. On the Filter Expr box copy the following

ContHist->ref="<Template name>"

Change <Template name> to the reference that the History Appears as. So for example, if I sent a mail shot out using my 'New Product Information' template then in the History tab for one of the receipents will be an E-mail Out with the reference 'New Product Information'. Therefore I enter ContHist->ref="New Product Information" as the Filter Expr.

15. Click Next
16. Click Finish

The group should build with the correct contacts.

Hope this Helps
