Hi,
I have a laptop and a desktop with each of my E-mail addresses on them. I have several for me, my wife, son and so forth. Whenever I get spam for me or them, I usually set some kind of rule to prevent it on whatever pc I'm on at the time. Usually when I get on the other computer I've forgotten the exact rule that I set.

Is there a way to copy the rules and transfer them to another computer?

Thanks,
Chris

I forgot to ask a question in my previous post. I used a mail tracker that was suggested by someone on this site and tracked down the IP and owner of the ISP or network. The mail tracker usually gives me an IP address for the e-mail I'm checking. Many of the e-mails are the same IP. Is there a way to set a rule to where it will prevent e-mails from a certain IP that is hid in the header?

Thanks again,
Chris

In a stand-alone environment, I believe that Outlook stores them as *.rwz files. I don't know if they could be copied from 1 machine to another.

Outlook stores them as profilename.rwz in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\outlook.

As long as you're using the same profile name on both computers you can copy them over. Just put them in the same location as they were on the computer you're copying them from.

As to your 2nd question, try using the rule "with specific words in the message header" and type the IP address you want to block. I haven't tried it myself but it should work.

Cheers.
