Working on my first 'pottentially official' FLASH project and I already hit a brick wall.

I want to have a banner like area across the top and play a movie. I have my main movie plus an additional movie (the banner). I created all the animations on main scene in 'the banner' movie across 135 frames. I returned to main movie and added layer and imported 'the banner' movie in this layer.

1 - The import added 135 continuos frames as if it broke apart the imported movie ...
2 - I am having a really hard time dealing with placing all objects where I want them in main movie, while they are all nicely set within 'the banner'

I figure the problem lies on the method employed. I also guess that it might have been better if I just had all the layers in 'the banner' in a MC and then drag this MC into the main scene for the main movie.

But how? 8-(

Simply highlight all the frames on all layers of your banner movie, and copy them. Open your main movie project, create a new mc, and paste the frames in it. Then you can drag this banner mc on the stage and easily position it.

Note: This will only work if all layers of your banner movie are completely filled with frames, be it blank frames. Any layers with empty frames, will keep the copy process from working.
