I am building what started as a 'simple' databse and has grown into a 'monster' databse. In two or three fields I am trying to use a look-up table to limit what can be input to the field.
I have run into a situation where Access 2000 tells me that the lookup table is limited to 20 rows/items. How can I increase this limit, or circumvent it somehow.
Thanks!

Hi HM,

Can you tell me exactly what you mean by 'lookup' table?

How is this defined?

Access limiting this to 20 rows sounds stupid.

When I define a field in the table, I specify a lookup table. It is then linked to a table I have already setup with my definitions in it (i.e safety class, safety refresher, first responder training, first responder refresher, vehicle safety, etc.) Currently the training group is up to 15 different classes and is already talking about expanding with another 10 different classes of training.

Does this help you any more? Harry Jessen

Hey Darrylles,

OKAY - I GIVE UP!!!

I just tried this again and it is working like it should.

I encountered no limit on the number of rows for my lookup table. Don't know what happened, but I am going to write it off to the infamous "Microsoft Magic".

Thanks for the help! Harry Jessen
