I have 2 different types of RJ-45 PC Network card connector cables, one has the 10 and 100 bps compatibility, but the other has no writing on it anywhere. They both fit perfectly with my 3Com Megahertz 10/100 LAN PC Card(Model 3CCFE574BT), but I am not sure if the cable without the writing is 100bps compatible. How can I check this? Is it worth much? Where can I go to find out more about this product? Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Cat5 cable is as cheap as chips.
Its all 100Mb.

Thank you for your insight. I appreciate it. :)

The only way to know for sure is to test the cable with a TDR. Pentascan makes a good one but you're looking at 5k to purchase one. The easiest thing to do is buy a 100mb patch cord and be done with it.
