hello,

Question of the week....here's what happend:

I DLed BitchX-1.0c16-Linux-glibc2-alpha.tar.gz, typed:

# tar -zxvf BitchX-1.0c16-Linux-glibc2-alpha.tar.gz

and go this:

tar: BitchX: time stamp 2020-04-27 11:12:31 is 552959611 s in the future
scr-bx
tar: scr-bx: time stamp 2020-04-27 11:13:50 is 552959690 s in the future
wserv
tar: wserv: time stamp 2020-04-27 11:13:04 is 552959644 s in the future

I guess it "untarred" it, because the files with the bogus timestamp are there now. What do I have to do now? Hope I was of some help...

The touch command will update the access time, modification time, and date to the current time. Go into the folder where you untarred the files into, and run this...

touch *
