Question: how can i change default gateway address programatically

Good day to all pros:

i am facing a scenario where i need to change the default
gateway address of my local computer which is part of a
LAN. I want to create a VB/VC++ program by which when i
want to change my Gateway address all i need to do is run
the program and press the button.

is there any API or any function which can be used to
change the default gateway address?
