I have Outlook 2003, but many on our network still have
earlier versions of Outlook. I'm on my own in solving this problem, and I've tried unsuccessfully to find a way within Outlook to automatically change to rich text when I read or respond to an email. (Either or both would be good.) Does anyone have a macro that might do this for me upon opening the received email or upon clicking the forward or reply button? In case it matters, here's why...
I need all my email chains to show attachments in the body, so they are seen in the context of the particular message to which they were originally attached. When I forward HTML messages, attachments are listed at the beginning (below the subject line), but nothing appears in the email chain to show which email they were originally connected to. When I have to respond to emails that came to me in html or plain text, I change them to rich text before sending. This gets old with HTML messages, since I have to go from HTML to plain text to rich text.
Not to mention the wallpaper, large fonts, and other personalize formatting that makes a long email chain seem even longer because of the huge spaces between lines and paragraphs! I digress. Thank you to anyone who can help!! Oh, I've never used macros in Outlook, so I may need a bit of coaching in setting it up too. Thanks again!!
