Hi. Can anyone tell me how to cancel the send of a bulk mail once issued? One of our users has sent a mail from Outlook 97 that pulls recipient addresses from an Access db. There are over 1100 addresses and Exchange 5.5 has been sending it for almost 5 days now, slowing down all other mail to a crawl, so there is obviously a problem. The single sent mail is in the Sent Items box, but I don't know how I can kill off the bulk send while Exchange is still processing it. Any ideas? cheers.

Use Exmerge to "archive" that particular message via a search on the subject. Once archived to a .pst file, you will have the option to permanently remove the message.

thanks for reply dennisbbb...thing is Exchange is still sending this mail out...i can see them going through the MTA queue...but need to know how to can it. its like the process is running in exchange and i need to stop it..but dont know how ???? someone suggested rebooting the server but i'm sure the process will just restart once exchange services come back up...

Stop all services so that it stops sending, and run Exmerge on it. Should be a quick kill, unless you have a huge private store.
