Hay.
I have a lot of Nortel routers (more then 250), so its really getting hard to backup them all. Is there any way to auto backup them. I have even more cisco's and they set to be backup every week to a ftfp server, after the backup i gets a log and see how it went.

Thanks...

Nortel has a tool simular to what you describe that cisco uses. You should look into optivity NCS. This product is intended for the higher end Nortel routers (shata, passport etc), but may be what you are look for

go to and search for "Optivity NCS"

An alternative is to use ftp.
I've set up a win98 machine with a batch job.
Works just fine. The dos ftp client has a script option.
Do this in your batch.

ftp -s input.file 10.20.1.2

And create an input.file containing something like this:
Manager
password
lcd
bin
get config
quit

Good luck...
