On a CICS 4.2 I programed the ATA (Wireless) to ring on all 5 lines + I wanna answer the 221 on the ATA when people it the 0 from the call pilot
Is it possible to answer DN on a ATA?

Thanks

You would have to be in the same pick-up group, and use Feature 75, or rather flash, * 75.

Unfortunately, you cannot program an answer DN on an ATA, but you can put 221 and the ATA in a pick-up group of 2, or some some other group that everyone else is not in, then do a FLASH * 75 from the wireless set. That will pick-up the call that has been ringing the longest on 221.

When the client is on the ATA ( wireless) he is far from a nostar set... so when th extension 221 is ringing who can he answer if he does not know that the phone is ringing

Oops, sorry galfaro, you had a great answer. Wish we could see when someone else is posting an answer at the same time.

Marcel,
Put a Duette Plus on ext 221. This unit will loud ring just for the phone.

Since you have ver 4.1 and are using 3 digit extensions you could put both 221 and the ATA's DN into a hunt group then assign the DN for the hunt group as the attendent number instead of 221 (feature 9 8 2 and also in the AA tables).

both would ring whenever the 0 was hit out of either vm or AA

Answer DN REVISITED.
This one was buggin' me, because I knew there was another way to do it on systems before Hunt Groups.
Finally remembered. Do it backwards. Make your ATA DN the "0" DN for voicemail, then put an Answer DN of that on your 221. Am using that method in my own office, but forgot to look at it until today when a caller zeroed out and it came rushing back to me.

Just a little FYI. Not trying to reopen a closed subject.
