How can I allow a user to select a folder instead of a file

I'm sort of a learn as I go programmer but I couldn't think of this one or find it in the forum.

I would like a user to select a folder to store images in them *before* I actually start the file copying process.

The problem is that normally when I do this there are already files inside the folder. This time, the folder could be new or empty so how do I get a "select" button instead of an "open" button for folders?
