I am interested in adding multiple hard drives...Ed wrote that I can add IDE controllers.
How can this be done?? is it like the PCI slots where by a kind of stepper plug can be inserted changing one outlet to 2 ??
Garebo added that even though 2 IDEs per mother board will allow four devices this includes CD drives as well as hard drives...2 of my 4 are now infact used by CD/dvd drives...and 2 for hard drives...back to my original question...
how to add multiple hard drives??
I did buy on ebay tonight an Aluminum USB2.0 3.5" Hard Drive External Enclosure Case. (I have a couple hard drives laying around!!) It was inexpensive and will allow a third drive to be hooked through USB...this should do the trick for now.
I want an operating system (C) an image backup drive (D) and a fast 2-3 GB (E) for my swap file. I am doing some digital analog recording and setting up as efficiently as I can.
still curious about how to add IDEs.
and Garebo, I'm still looking at power supply situation!!
thanks
Tim
