How can I add a new network to send/receive email?

I added, in 'main.cf' file, the new network in the 'mynetworks' parameter, save the changes and ran the 'postfix reload' command, but I am still not able to send/receive from/to that network.

This is the error the system is logging:

postfix/smtpd[1112]: connect from unknown[x.x.x.x]

postfix/smtpd[1112]: warning: Illegal address syntax from unknown[x.x.x.x] in MAIL command: xyz@x.x.x.x

postfix/smtpd[1112]: disconnect from unknown[x.x.x.x]

Thanks!

Maybe if you showed us the configuration that you changed we'd be able to tell you what you did wrong.

Maybe it hasn't been working yet at all.
Question is a bit ambiguous.
