How can I access a cell located in another Excel file? 1

Hello all,

I'm fairly new to 'advanced' aspects of Excel. I would like to know if it is possible for me to populate a cell in a spreadsheet with data that is in another cell in a completely separate Excel file.

any thoughts?

In workbook 1, enter =

Then switch to the other workbook and click on whatever cell you want.

Voila!

[tt]_____
[blue]-John[/blue][/tt]
[tab][red]The plural of anecdote is not data[/red]
