How can fix my subdomain site?

My URL

http://www.theancients.educations.net,

and I want other parts of the URL to be differen't when they click on the menu link. Like for instance

http://wwww.theanceients.educations/history/history.html.

How can I put in the /folders using the subdomain URL? By the way I use, EZboard to host the site, have other parts of the site by Tripod and the subdomain hoster is

http://www.educations.net

Not exactly sure what you mean by sub-domain. If you are referring to host-headers, then the answer is quite simple.

First off...
host headers:

http://www.abc.com

is the domain name.

http://mySite.abc.com...mySite

is the host header for a second web site attached to the abc.com domain name.

There are three ways to seperate web sites on your server. One is by having a different IP address. Another is by having different port numbers. And the third is by assigning different host headers.

You have create the web site:

http://www.abc.com

and hold it in your c:\inetpub\

http://wwwroot\

folder. In the host headers in your IIS, have the host header read "

http://www.abc.com",

then create another one for the same site called "abc.com". This way, anyone can type

http://www.abc.com

OR abc.com to reach your site.

Create anther site under the c:\inetpub\mySite\ folder and have it assigned to the same port (80) and IP address, but have the host headers for the site read, "mySite.abc.com". Continue this for all the sites you want to create under the same domain. Now when someone types

http://www.abc.com,

they will go to the site in c:\inetpub\

http://wwwroot\,

but if they type

http://mySite.abc.com

they will go to the site under c:\inetpub\mySite\!

Sub-Domain means its not an actual real domain like .com , .net , .org. Sub-Domains is free like

http://www.theancients.educations.net

or fake example

http://www.entertainment.television.net.

I want to have it like websites that has like

http://www.blackvault.com/main

I want like that /main on my subdomain URL instead of it opening up the sub-domani URL then when you click on it, it opens up a whole new differen't url thats part of my page. You'll notice that when you click on my page links under main. URL will change from theancients.educations.net to like

http://ayvis.tripod.com

and I want use theancients.educations.net instead of tripod.

The links under main are links directly to

http://ayvis.tripod.com!

That is a simple link like: <a href='

http://ayvix.tripod.com'>News</a>

The part when you listed

http://www.blackvault.com/main...

all &quot;main&quot; is, is a folder under the domain name. So if your domain name web site is pointed to use the folder c:\inetpub\

http://wwwroot\

then your main folder would be c:\inetpub\

http://wwwroot\main\.

Therefore, your link (or the user can type in the url) would be

http://www.mySite.com/main.

Now if you are simply trying to hide your tripod url and make it look like they are still on the &quot;theancients.educations.net&quot; site...simply use frames. Have the link targeted in the right frame, and have the tripod site open in the right frame. Then, your main window which contains the frames will still be at the &quot;theancients&quot; site and show that url in the url bar, but you are displaying the tripod site as though it were part of that site.
