MCK requires you to have high speed data service at both ends.
A cheap way to do it if only a couple (few) remote phones are required is ATA-2's with OPX circuits. You'll have to use single line analog phones at the remote end.
the extender 1000 uses a dial up line and the extender 3000 uses an ISDN line. speed requirements go up from there. I just bid out to a customer for exxtending their ACD out to other cities using the gateway and extenders, you can select voice channel speed down to 16K per channel. We would have gone ISDN for 4 phones but the LD cost was a dealkiller.
If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.

If they are going to be using 12 to 24 phones off site I would consider a T-1 with a MCK 6000 PBX Gateway and MCK 6000 remote on the other site. I've got 4 customers now using these and they work great!

how far apart are the offices? some local telco companies will run point-to-point fiber between buildings and you can then just put a station module or two out at the remote site. i've done that for a few locations so far and it seems to work well.

Did you use MCK's fiber extenders or just terminate it with special connector?
I would be interested to see how you did it, if not with the extenders.
If the customer has not yet purchased a switch them sell them a BCM with IP client licenses and i2004 IP phones.
Once you compare the price to install a 12 port MCK solution the new BCM cabinet may come in cheaper.
I I, too, am interested in how you did it. Did you just extend the module with some fiber or buy the "MCK" stuff. I have a customer that is building a new building about 2k feet from the existing one. I need about 20-30 stations at that building. What's the best way?
I've not seen the MCK product in the field as of yet but the product is mentioned so much on this forum that it has peaked my interest. I have a few questions for a customer who has several buildings in a campus setting and they own the fiber and currenly network the campus LAN using Multi-Mode fiber.
What are the specifications for the MCK Fiber Extender?:
Fiber: Single or Multi-Mode?
If Multi-Mode Fiber: 62.5 or 50 micron?
If Single-Mode Fiber: ?
What type connectors are on the MCK?: ST, SC, etc.?
How many fiber Strands are require?: 2 per 0x16 SM?
