Hello all,

I have a question regarding accessing a DNS server on a remote network.

Our own network is a single Windows 2003 domain with 2 DCs running DNS. Internally all fine with one Forward Lookup Zone 'oursite.ourorg.com'.

However, we have a network connection to our parent site to allow us to access email and the makin company intranet. Historically the DNS Servers at the parent site have been added to the bottom of the 'DNS' tab of the 'TCP/IP settings' page on our Windows client pcs. It works, but I'm concerned that this isn't the correct (or best) way to do this.

How would I go about moving this setting across to our internal DNS servers?

Many thanks in advance.

One way would be to use the IP addresses of the servers in the DHCP handoff. You can specify multiple DNS servers there.
