Hi -

This is my first post to this forum. I am in the process of constructing a large continuous Flash animation with no interactivity (i.e., the experience will be more like watching video than Flash) - it will be about 1:30 - 2:00 minutes with lots of audio (music and voice over). My problem is that I'm crashing a lot. I'm hesitant to try calling up various SWFs in the process of playing the movie because it should play continuously and seamlessly once it begins. Is there a good (meaning fast and reliable) way to do a large project like this in several individual FLAs and then assemble them later?

BTW, I'm on a Mac. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If music and voice over have to stay in continuous and/or relative sync with the picture (since this would be more video than Flash!), it's not going to easily work when loading several different movies, unless you preload all of them in a main preloader, so that they're ready to play when called upon. But yes, it could possibly work out!

Your second problem, might be all this video stuff. Interactive elements, in general, are not what makes up for a big file size! Pictures, moves, transparencies have a lot more to do with that, and these will also affect the processor's hability to process it all. So I wouldn't expect the end results to be someting as smooth as you may have imagined on any given "regular" machine.

Your third problem is you're on Mac! Not that it's a bad machine (I spend the rest of my days editing on Macs!), but because I really know nothing about the running of the Flash application on Mac.
So this is really all the help you'll get out of me; our marvelous relation until now, has regretfully come to an end!

Regards,
