Just wondering if anyone has experimented with creating "Toast Pop-Up" messages. Like the type used by MSN Messinger and Office 2003 Applications. I have found a few ActiveX Controls to provide them only to discover they work in VB only and Have done countless MSDN searches to find very little technical information. Is anyone aware of a spacific win32 dll to call this type of window?

Can you not create a form, and with a timer change the Top property of the form, startin at the sysmetric(2) position.
You may also want to play around with the transparency of the form as well like Outlook does when a new e-mail comes in.

Steve,

Did you see my reply to your earlier post? I guess it was deleted when your thread was moved to this forum.

I'm doing some work on a generic toast class right now. It's far from complete, but I'd be glad to share what little I've done with you. Let me know if this of interest, and I'll put something together.

Mike

Yes I do have interest, I have looked hard and long at this and would be more then interested. And yes your reply got lost when they deleted the original message. I reposted the question here per tek-tip suggestion. Thanks!
