How a simple animation of a bmp becomes smooth...

I am trying to move a simple bmp image on a dialog box but the hole dialog box with image is fluctuating .
I am using timer to move the image and invalidate and each update.. Can u give me any golden tip..

I think if you look into BitBlt you should see a better perfomance. Get the DC and blt the bitmap into it.
