Hover Menu Off Screen

Hi all,
I have a hover menu that shows from and image that is on a modal popup. The hover menu contains a grid view that is populated depending on a field on the modal popup. For certain fields the hover menu extends off the screen and there are no scroll bars to see the bottom of the list. I have tried moving the hover menu to start at the top of the screen and it is still too big. Does anyone know how to make scroll bars show up when the hover menu appears or any other suggestions?
