A manager at a client has shown up with a Sony Clie PEG-TJ27 handheld, running PalmOS 5.2.1.

Sony only provides USB sync hardware, and we are running MetaFrame XP on Win2K Server We do have other users Hotsyncing Palms via serial ports.

As far as I know, I have a few options:

1) Use a USB to serial adapter

2) Use an IrDA to serial adapter, (the Clie has a IrDA port)

3) Use something like XTENDConnect, though I'm not sure that solves the problem, and it seems like overkill for one user.

Can anyone tell me which might be more reliable, or does anyone have an alternative solution? What have you done? I can't be the first to face this problem.

TIA ...

That's great! Can you tell me the make and model of the adapter? I can't seem to find one.

I can find plenty of adapters what will add a serial port(s) to your computer's USB port:
Cptr --- USB port --- adapter --- Serial port(s)

But I can't find anything that will add a USB port to my computer's serial port, so I can connect my male USB hotsync cable:
Cptr --- Serial port --- adapter --- USB port (female) --- male USB hotsync cable -- Handheld

I've talked to my vendor, Belkin, other cabling companies ... nada. Unless there is something I'm missing?
