I've got a major problem my pda and desktop wont synchronize. It used to work fine before but now my PC cant recognize my PDA and my PDA says:
"The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again."
How do I fix this? Did I delete any files? Which setup do I have to check?

Check your port settings on your desktop Hotsync. Be sure there are no conflicts with the port, and that the port that is listed is the one you're plugged in to. If you are using a laptop and have infrared ports and they're enabled, turn them off. Once in a while they will for no apparent reason, take over the port and you end up with a conflict. These are just a couple of things that might be the cause, but it seems as if you have a communication error. If all else fails, save your info to a different folder for safekeeping, uninstall the software and reinstall it. Sometimes that solves the problem - at least you'll know whether it's a port conflict.

First of all, make sure that the Hotsync is enabled. Sounds simple but in cleaning up startup files, I somehow deleted it from the startup. Then make sure that the contacts are clean. I had a problem with that on my Sony Clie' which wouldn't hotsync. Use contact cleaner on both sets of contacts.
