Dear all,
i am new in flash so i suppose that this might b a stupid question, but i am going to ask it anyway.
i want to create a menu that will be used in a web page, what i want to do i have seen it in other webpages so i know that it is possible to do.
I want to present a list when the user is pointing to a link, something like:
link->list
list
so, the user gets the mouse over "link" and the list is appeard next too it and the use chooses from that list.
something like the thing microsoft has on its web page, but simpler.
i have been told that this is called hotspot, but i havent found anything about it anywere.
Thanks

that should be fairly simple to develop in flash... your pop-up list will simply be a mc unto itself that you will make appear when you rollover its category then disappear say when it is rolled off of... then you will probably publish the movie to be transparent and put it in its own layer so you do not have a bunch of whitespace where the pop ups appear...

as i said, i am VERY new on flash,
is there any way to explain this a bit simpler and ferther? Thanks though

I would suggest going through the tutorial that comes with flash. This will be a good first step...

that was a great help oldnewbie, especially the file you gave me, can you just tell me one thing? how did you make it a "menu". i cant find that.
thanks

Don't quite understand what you're asking?

It's a movie clip that happens to be a menu...

yes, but how did you make it a menu?on the frames line, it says "menu" something that i cant make.

You mean the name "menu" I gave the movie clip? I named it when I created the symbol. But you can change it or change any movie clip's name by opening the Library (CTRL->L) and right-clicking any symbol and change it's name by hitting rename...
