Hotmail error after installing Firewall

I put a Netscreen Firewall on my network. I have a bellsouth email account as well as 3 hotmail accounts. I have the hotmail accounts setup in Outlook express so that when I check mail it pulls the emails from Hotmail in also. I can retrieve email still but I get these popup messages and it doesn't always work.

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Alpha&Omega', Server: '

http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp',

Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12019, Error Number: 0x80004005

Any ideas on what this is or how to fix it??

What does the firewall logs say?

Try it with Yahoo! mail as well. What about other sites that use SSL / HTTPS?
