Hotline with Digital Set

Hey all,

How do I set up a Hotline extension with a digital set? I have a door phone that is ia 4406D+ and I want it to automatically call a certain extension when picked up.

You cannot use a digital multi-line telephone as a Hotline phone. A Hotline extention can ONLY be a single-line telephone connected to an 016 T/R, 008 OPT or 016 ETR (top 6 ports programmed as T/R ports) module. It should work as well on an older 012 Basic Telephone module.

Problem is, I'm out of analog ports...

Other issue is, how can I restrict this phone from getting an outside line?

I guess I'll program a button to auto-dial the extension I want, if I cant set it up as a hotline.

Just "outward restrict" the 4406D+ and give it an auto-dial button for the doorphone extention number.
