We are evaluating a hotel solution /proposal from vendor. About 550 analog ports. They have proposed the 3300mxeII, to support about 30 IP phones,as well as the 550 ish analog requirements. The proposal includes 43 BONS/CLASS line cards (only 2 of the 24 port analog line cards wre incluided). I understand these are 12 port cards, and the proposal includes 6 sx200ICP nodes. Would this be a preferred deign over an options using the 24 port analog line cards ?

Look forward to your feedback, Thanks !

The ONS line card for the peripheral cabinet is more "robust" than the ASUII 24 port ONS card and would be the preferred solution.

ay want to look at the asu2 as a solution. they are rack mounted andtake up less space. go to your sales workbenck and config both ways. i know that price is an issue. 200 icp is much easer to config for a hotels

The 3300 will support up to 12 ASU's.

Fully configured that is 576 Ports.

I've never tried or heard of anyone trying to put that many analog stations on a 3300 via ASU's before. There could potentially be many issues with MWI and speech paths

The SX200 per nodes are a good fit and good design.

What about using 3300 nodes and using the 16 port cards??

how many rooms are there? most hotels do not require 2 seperate extensions in rooms any more if you have wired internet connections in rooms. this could cut your equipment cost almost in half.

chode79: To my knowledge, the SX2000 Per nodes have been Manufacturer Discontinued.

KwbMitel,

We have deployed a hotel solution with 12 ASU's without any issues to date. 580 analogue ports , approx 100 IP phones.

Knowledge is power, thats why we share!

Per nodes are manufactured discontinued so they are hard to get.
