Hello Panasonic PBX Techs,
I have been receiving requests for billing feature from clients of late.
I have implemented it using Asterisk billing solution on KX-TDA series PABX.

But does the Hotel & Charge feature in Panasonic actually work?.
I have never tested it. Can it allocate credit o extensions and when an extension credit rans out that extension cant make calls to the PSTN?

Responses will be appreciated.

No, that’s an old way of having billing on the system and was used print out charges though the handset, never seen the limit block calls, I think it only printed a warning
I am open to correction

you would need software to integrate with the system through CTI, that would change the class of service of the extension if it reaches a limit. I personally don’t know any billing system that does that

OBT, thanks for that clarification.
I have successfully implemented billing (Budget Allocation & control) on KX-TDA series PABX using A2Billing of Asterisk. I think i will continue to use that approach untill Panasonic comes up with a solution. I think Panasonic is reluctant to come up with their own billing solution because there is very low public demand for that feature.

Any other clarification on the Panasonic billing feature is appreciated
