Hi All,

I have two 3300's, one MX and one CXi. I have a client who wants to hotdesk between sites, so i have installed and configured enterprise/ops man, and clustered the 3300's. My question is this,

To make a hotdesk have the ability to log into either site, i create the user in ops man give it a home element, and then make it resilient at the opposing site. Is this correct way of doing this? And if so what is the license consumption for enterprise ops man? Do i need lots of resilient licenses, or is there another way of configuring this.

Cheers

If you have clustered the systems correctly you should be able to hot desk across the cluster as far as I'm aware, you do not need to make the users resilient.

They have to be clustered with opsman and ip trunked then you can do this.

So as long as the sites are clustered and i create the hotdesk user through ops man the hotdesker should be able to log into a set on either 3300? Without the need for ticking resiliency on in the user profile through ops man?

You can also do this without OpsMan, but there are a lot of forms to manage.

The hotdesk user should not be resilient with the system he want to log in on.

The remote directory form will allow hotdesking between systems and is managed by OPSman

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.

to reiterate. no need to make it resillient. if your cluster is set up correct, hotdesking just works.

Thanks all, you where right once i got the directory sync going ok and the remote directory number was field in, on both systems the hotdesking worked a treat.

thanks to all for replies
